Hum Kahan Key Sachy They is a Pakistani drama written by famous writer Umera Ahmad. The Urdu version of this drama is like ہم کہاں کے سچے تھے . The meaning of these lines is "when were we truthful". The main characters of this drama are Mahira Khan, Kubra Khan, and Usman Mukhtar. All other characters also play their part to complete the story outline.

Hum Kahan Key Sachy Thay consist of suspense, mystery, women empowerment, hate, jealousy, and complex relationship.

This drama revolves around the issue of the joint family system. There is a depiction of certain things that are rarely talked about in our society. The main theme of the drama is aggressive behavior, Guilt, Envy, and a denial state of mind. This drama basically questions the "Tarbiyat" of your child.

If you're typically in a joint family system, then you don't need to compare your child with other ones. Everyone has their own talent that God bless them already. Don't pass negative comments to your child. Those negative and harsh comments slowly eat their life without your knowledge. Appreciate your child with the talents and skills they have.

There is also a criticism of Pakistani society. If the father, brother, and son are involved in wrongdoings then their daughter, sisters, and mothers have to bear negative comments for to rest of their life. If the man is involved in unethical activities then he will be punished not the female member of their houses.

The second thing which is under discussion is the marriage of the widow. It rarely happens in our culture that a widow is married again. If she luckily married again then she had to leave her children. She is mostly not allowed to take her children with her.  She left them not by choice but by the pressure from her husband. The husband is also not allowed her to meet with her children. This is a very harsh reality of our society. Umera Ahmed beautifully put a satire on Pakistani society.

Most of the time we proudly say that we are people of an open mind. But we are open mind in our own choices not in every condition. We, everyone, behave like a typical human beings. This drama teaches us if you see something wrong is happening then you should take a step in the very first place.

Try to accept reality as the way they are.

No doubt, Mahira khan tries her best to play her part as a frightened as well as strong girl. Overall she is not up to mark for the character she plays.
